CANARIE is Canada's advanced Internet organization. Through its E-learning Program, CANARIE is supporting a number of significant projects across Canada that are addressing use of broadband networks in education and training. One of the main thrusts is the development of learning object repositories. Dr. Rossiter will discuss general implications of broadband networks in education, CANARIE's strategic role in this area, and lessons emerging from the E-learning Program.
