The Academy for Advanced
Telecommunications and Learning Technologies of Texas A&M
University, under the direction of Dr. Walt Magnussen and
Mr. Willis Marti, invites the CUDI community to the Virtual
Laboratory WAES seminar. This is an induction seminar aimed
to show the basics of the WAES system. The WAES system (http://waes.cs.tamu.edu/index.jsp),
in operation in Texas A&M, is a networking laboratory interface
capable to be used remotely by any class around the globe. Its
features range from basic routing practices to advanced security
networking issues.
This induction will
inform of the WAES general characteristics and the opportunities
of collaboration with Mexican institutions. There is no cost
involved and it demands only a 3-hour videoconference session.
The session will be the 3er week of March.
Attendees
Requirements
- To be a professor or investigator
in the field of computer networks in a CUDI member institution.
- To understand spoken English.
- To have access to an Internet2
Videoconference Room for the day of the session.
- To fill out a registration form
(attached).
